Psychometry. A form of retrocognition, Aaron can learn of a person or object's past just by touching him, her, or it. For example, by touching a pen, Aaron will suddenly learn/remember every essay that the pen has been used to write for. |
A Jewish boy who never really fit in anywhere. His parents died during his infancy, victims of a small conflict in the Middle East. The young Aaron was taken into an orphanage in Jerusalem, where he spent his early, formative years trying to fit in with other war orphans. Complications arose during his youth. There was a pretty bad bullying issue at the orphanage he grew up in. Even at a young age, Aaron had developed a strong sense of justice, and often found himself standing up to those bullies at the orphanage. Many of these confrontations ended with Aaron being beaten to a pulp. No matter how tough he acted, or how clever or creative his pranks were, the results were always the same. Even before his powers awoke, Aaron was also a little bit different from his peers. He was born with a lazy eye that often made Aaron feel uncomfortable. He didn't want to let the orphanage pay for the surgery to correct his lazy eye, since it would cost them a fair deal and he didn't want people viewing him as special, either. So he tried taking matters into his own hands. Aaron would soon learn that this was a Very Bad idea. He wound up doing irreversable damage to said lazy eye, and lost all sight in it. But similar to how the blind's senses of hearing, smell, or touch will increase after losing their sight, Aaron began to experience comparable side-effects. His power of psychometry kicked in around this time. Although it was weird adjusting to receiving large amounts of informational feedback, as soon as Aaron began to properly grasp what his powers could do, he used his newfound gifts to get back at the bullies and bring them to justice. It was fun at first, using his powers to get back at his enemies, but after a while Aaron started to outgrow those tendencies. He made an effort to bury the hatchet between them, and set his sights on bigger things: seeing the world. After being adoped at age nine, Aaron's life settled into something resembling normalcy until his seventeenth birthday, when he left Jerusalem to go out and see the world. Or at least the Mediterranean. That worked too. He visited France, Italy, Spain, Greece - he travelled all over, met a lot of people, had a little bit of sex, and learned something new about himself or about the world every day. One of those fascinating bits of information was of the approaching Promised Day, and Aaron's role in it. He returned to Jerusalem on his eighteenth birthday. With the help of a friend, Aaron set up his own detective agency within the city and has been awaiting for the Promised Day since then. |
Loyal to the end, Aaron is friendly, considerate, and fun to be around. He's a designated driver sort of guy: he'll look out for his friends and take care of them when they're under the weather, all out of the good of his heart. He is very much a gentleman, and acts extremely polite and courteous. He's also bisexual, with no real preference when it comes to guys or girls - so long as you like a person, does gender really mean anything? There is a mischevious side to his personality, though. Aaron loves a good prank as much as the next guy; sometimes even a little too much. He swears that all his tricks and pranks are meant in good humor, though. Aaron's pranks will almost never be a personal attack against you. Unless you happen to be a jerk. Then it's personal. If Aaron considers someone to be arrogant or pompous, then he will not rest until that person has gotten what he or she deserves. |
Aaron wears an eyepatch over his blind eye, partly for its practical use, and partly to make him stand out in a crowd. His red hair is wild and untamed, but he manages to keep it under control with a bandana he wears rather frequently. Very very skinny and lithe, but stands at an admirable height. Radiates these "good feeling" vibes that makes everyone want to be around him. |
